Students Of Color Alliance Open Mic Night

On March 22, 2017, the Students of Color Alliance club of Tunxis Community College sponsored its first “Open Mic” night. The event was hosted by Tunxis student Naja Davis-Drew and featured music, poetry, comedy, and spoken word from members of the Tunxis community.

This Diversity Panel featured Moulham Al-Roumi who is a Syrian Human Rights Activist. Moulham, his wife and children moved to the States 3 years ago and since that day his main goal has been to educate the public about Islam, the Middle East, the current situation in SYRIA and the refugee crisis.
