#Black Lives Matter: The Making of a Movement

On February 17, 2016, the Students of Color Alliance, the Tunxis Business Club, and the Humanities Department of Tunxis Community College co-sponsored an important panel discussion: “BlackLivesMatter: The Making of a Movement”. The event was designed to spark meaningful conversations about the history of black media, the power of social media in the 21st century, and the quality of black lives in America in 2016. The event was moderated by Kerry L. Beckford, M.F.A., Instructor of English, Tunxis Community College and Co-Advisor, Students of Color Alliance.
