Connecticut Poetry Circuit

Sarah Nichols, a student at Tunxis Community College, is one of five Connecticut Student Poets who have been chosen to read from their work as part of the Connecticut Poetry Circuit. The event took place on March 9, 2009. For over 30 years, the Connecticut Poetry Circuit has sent award-winning students on tour to read at colleges statewide. The student poets will read in the following order: Matthew Gilbert from University of Hartford, Katherine Rowe from Albertus Magnus and Sarah Nichols from Tunxis Community College.

Joe Sam: Artist Talk

Multi-media and public works artist, Joe Sam. gave a wonderful and engaging talk about his work Thursday March 5 at Tunxis Communtiy College. His many stories enlivened the evening with laughter, joy, and fascination about his life as an artist and his views on becoming an artist. Joe Sam related his personal experiences that shaped his growth and gave his work its colorful look. A thoroughly delightful night was enjoyed by all.  – Bill Kluba, Barnes-Franklin Gallery director.

"Writing and Memoir" with Sally Terrell
