The Civic Engagement Institute is once again offering a civic engagement award to three Tunxis students who have shown exemplary leadership in their communities. The prizes will go to the students who:
- Have shown great commitment, success, and leadership in helping to improve their community or neighborhood or who have contributed to a civic cause;
- Explain clearly, thoughtfully, and powerfully in an essay of 500 to 1,000 words the nature of their civic achievement and how it has benefited people.
The 1st place winner will receive $300
The 2nd place winner will receive $150
The 3rd place winner will receive $100
The contest has now officially begun but all submissions must be in by April 15th, 2019.
