Dear Tunxis Community,
The Civic Engagement Institute is sponsoring a winter clothing drive for those who have been displaced from their homes in the Caribbean by Hurricane Maria and other powerful storms. We are asking for your donation of coats, winter sweaters, pants, and shirts that are in good to excellent condition (no tears, holes, stains, etc.) so that those who’ve come to Connecticut from warmer climates without winterwear can be comfortable as the winter season approaches. The Capitol Region Education Council is collecting coats through the Hurricane Relief Center and the Civic Engagement Institute would love to be part of this mission. If you’d like more information, you can click on the logo below:
The drive will begin Wednesday, November 15th and end on Friday, December 15th so get your clothes in soon! For more information, please contact me so that we can assist those in need. Thank you for your time and generosity.
